Nbr.lu, the showcase website of Brakonier, an interior architecture firm in Luxembourg. A project run since 2019, from the heavy technical build to marketing support.
Started in 2019, the nbr.lu redesign, an anagram of Norbert Brakonier, was as pleasant as it was interesting to produce. Co-delivered with Laurent Daubach on design (designbureau.lu), the work covered the analysis of the existing site, the migration of its content (most of the site being high-definition images) and the adaptation of the proposed design.
On this kind of high-end showcase site, the real challenge is image loading optimisation: dozens of high-definition photographs, rich galleries and an aesthetic standard that allows no compromise.
The solution was implemented through the ImageKit.io CDN, wired directly into the front-end, decoupling storage from provisioning. Several gigabytes of cache allow minimal maintenance and friction with the host, configured and optimised by us.
Images no longer depend on the hosting server: the CDN absorbs the load, the host stays light and stable.
The custom-built CMS articulates static content pages and very rich galleries, with no latency or loading time whatsoever. The consistent presentation creates a feeling of stability suited to the business: not a single pixel too many, no possible overflow.
The result is a fast website, resting aesthetically on the architect's craftsmanship, without betraying the specificities of his very varied projects.
